Prepare for your Fall Hunt by Attend the Precision Shooting School
Hosted by Elk Creek Outfitting & Article 4 Rifleworks

What you can expect:

The long-range shooting system (Rifle, Optic, Ammo, Range-finder) and complete Rifle set-up including zero and gaining confidence in your scope and set up
Fundamentals of marksmanship including external ballistics, use of ballistic computer programs and how to interpret the data with wind reading and compensation
Trajectory validation of YOUR ammunition at known and unknown distance shooting out to as far as you and your rifle can shoot to include field shooting conditions and multiple static shooting positions that are styled to hunting environments
Proper gear selection including how to properly pack and fit your backpack
Route finding and hiking techniques including techniques of observation and locating game
Live-fire field shooting scenarios

Big Sky Packer and Guide School

Thank you for inquiring about our Guide School. We have been in the business of outfitting for over 18 years. 98% of our students have successfully completed the course and we have been able to place all who have wanted to work. These jobs have been in guiding, packing, cooking, wrangling and anything to do with outdoor recreation.

Many outfitters get their guides through us and are very satisfied with our students. By keeping our classes small, we can guarantee that we are able to place all our students. Our students come from all over the country. We feel that if they are taking that big step, both expense and time wise, they deserve a school that will make the decision worthwhile. Some of our graduates have gone beyond just guiding and into positions as: head guides, outfitter foreman, partnerships and some into their own businesses.

We are a full-time outfitting business and take this very seriously. Since we outfit ourselves, we know what other outfitters are looking for in a qualified guide. We don’t just run the school and forget about you. Graduates may call us at any time and we will help with a job placement.
